Grahame Martin was born in Tamworth and moved to Newcastle
at an early age. His initial training was in Watercolour. Grahame has now been sketching and painting
for some forty years. He has had
numerous solo exhibitions and featured in many of Australia’s major
galleries.
Grahame is an exhibiting member of the “Royal Arts Society”
of N.S.W., “Victorian Art Society”, and “Australian Guild of Realist
Artists”. He is sought after for
his tutoring skills, has represented Australia and has featured in national and
international art magazines.
The well-known artist and founding member of “Brushmen of
the Bush”, Eric Minchin has said, “Grahame is a romantic artist who has the style and
palette that depict the vibrant colours and soft hues of the Australian outback
and bush.” His paintings are
held in collections throughout Australia and internationally.
